Action Alert: Call Senator Middleton Now! )
April 3, 2007

The House of Delegates in the Maryland General Assembly has passed a health care reform bill that has what we want ... a tobacco tax to support health care coverage for about 100,000 uninsured Marylanders. A good start on health care for all in Maryland.

That House bill, HB 754, is now being considered in the Senate. This is the last week of the General Assembly 2007 session. Members of the Senate Finance Committee can vote YES to sending HB 754 to the floor for a vote by the full Senate this week.

Please call the Senate Finance Committee chair, Senator “Mac” Middleton RIGHT AWAY and ask him to bring HB 754 up for a vote. Reach his office by calling 1- 800-492-7122 x3616.

We still have a shot at advancing health care reform this session. Please help by making that call!
